Animating hero character animations for cutscenes on today's Timespinner 2 development livestream! (No actual story will be shown lol) www.twitch.tv/lunarraygames #pixelart #metroidvania #gamedev #indiedev #indiegame

A woman in a red robe lies face first on the pink brick floor of a bedroom. Behind her is a bed that she has clearly fallen out of. The brick wall of the room has 3 tall golden windows with light softly pouring out. The center window is twice as wide as the others. The windows are framed with tall brown columns. There is also a dresser, a writing table, and two side tables: one with flowers in a vase and the other with a picture frame.

Just making sure that we're all on the same page about how our government and corporate leaders are actively using Israel to launder billions of tax dollars into corporate profits, oppression, international pedophilia, and heinous war crimes

Being apolitical is literally impossible when the issue is "should children be killed." You're either against killing children, or allowing the killing of children. The only thing 'apolitical' means here is that the side was chosen for you, by the people killing children. There's no third option.

After 9/11, Fox News started heavily pumping out fear mongering about not trusting your neighbors, because “there could be a terrorist cell in your back yard!!” All that’s done is create a country full of racist Karens, and a surveillance police state that treats everyone like potential criminals.

the title should really be "MAGA's broken clock is right twice a day by some fucking miracle, so even though MAGA is absolute dogshit, she's gonna try to make some healthy progress with the outlying parts of MAGA that aren't totally brainwashed, because she can't legally remove them from power"

Rare sighting tonight driving by my old apartment building and seeing the local elderly security guard guy who, I kid you not, compulsively and quietly flips the bird at literally everything and everyone, even his own thoughts, at all times of day, and everyone just lets him do it.

Being a victim of a narcissistic parent/siblings, sometimes I feel absolutely stuck in a world where your value is mostly based on a positive outgoing engaging public image, not your creative skills. It's impossible to authentically build that without healthy stability and trust to support you.

Aspire to be 80% satisfied with your life. 100% life satisfaction is unethical, you'll take away from others. 80% is appropriate, because it's not a linear scale, and it leaves enough available so other people can get to 80% life satisfaction as well. If you're above 80%, give it back.

These vinyls look beautiful! Always grateful to @aivisura.com for trusting me to assist them in composing and producing music for the show. Thinking back, I'm still feeling proud that I was capable of producing their iconic music style within the fast-paced production schedule to help this story. 💕

IMO: a big factor for determining success within indie game dev is a kind of active vigilance. The ability to maintain a broad enough perspective to recognize and then inventively resolve your own shortsightedness in unique ways, within both creativity and business.

I feel like Democrats have been giving us all a masterclass in using a passive debate tone for so long that leftists have forgotten to use more decisive wording when debating others. We gotta remember that ignorant people will just steamroll over any passive sarcasm or hypothetical questions.

The KORG Kronos reference is incorrect since it came out in 2011, but the samples still feel correct and doing side-by-side comparison seems essentially identical. I’m thinking the German Grand sample set may have come from somewhere before this, but it will take some more research.

Jeff Ball @jeffthatnoise.bsky.social · 02/08/2026

I found the original sound source of the piano used for "To Zanarkand" from Final Fantasy X. The hardware version is the KORG Kronos German Grand preset. There's a VST version you can get called SGX-2. Here's the original MIDI data played through the VST (with a little adjustment for velocities).

This is how cults indoctrinate: 1. Find people with a need 2. Love-bomb them to build a sense of security 3. Reduce love-bombing, creating hunger for more security 4. Instill that security only comes from more cult adherence and contribution 5. Cohabitate so everyone competes for more security

161

Jeff Ball @jeffthatnoise.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

Reminded again that the FFX HD Remaster music has a bunch of really unfortunate mistakes that come from misaligned MIDI and improper VST usage. Like, really basic "listen to it once and know something is wrong" mistakes.

Understanding and differentiating yourself from your survival instincts, then finding healthy and safe ways to express those instincts regularly, is one of the most important things you can do as a person. The idea of gods or demons or talents or luck is fake. It’s just us with our complex brains.
