For decades, countries like Canada prospered under what we called the ‘rules-based international order.’ That order is not coming back, but from the fracture, we can build something better, stronger, and more just. youtu.be/Ve4FwAexdSQ

The TACO cycle: Markets want to price in TACO. But TACO only works if Trump sees stocks tank. So we get a loop: Trump does things → nothing happens (markets already priced in TACO) → that emboldens him to do more → until markets start to think he might not TACO → stocks fall → TACO is restored.

The point of these posts by Trump is to ritualistically humiliate European leaders. He wants to show how much he owns them. That they will accept whatever the US president does.

And then, Trump posts the receipts. He is bragging to his own citizens showing them how much European leaders kiss his ass. And he is showing European citizens what their own leaders say to him privately in their grovelling. To make them feel defeated and hopeless.

It’s a real shame that Nigel Farage is too unwell to do interviews the morning after Donald Trump threatens us with sanctions. Here he is with “the bravest man he ever met”. He campaigned to make Trump President, and has spent the last year enjoying all the chaos he has caused.

If the police arrest me for this, it's a direct attack on the expression of opinion: ie on free speech. But the Terrorism Act is so madly oppressive and loosely framed that I have no idea which side of it I'm on. And I suspect it's the same for them.

Al Gore didn’t hold back: The Trump admin is “attacking the heart of truth,” twisting facts like the Nazis did in the 1930s. From climate denial to rewriting the Ukraine war, it’s all about power—not reality. Gore warned the U.S. is under siege—and every former leader should speak out like he did.
