Piping plover chicks are born with the instinct to perform a rapid "tap dance" giggle on wet sand to forage for food. This vibration mimics rainfall or subterranean movement, tricking worms, crustaceans, and insects into moving or coming to the surface so the bird can quickly catch them.

I’m delighted to see that Richard Taylor has won his defamation case against the producers of this film. It was awful to see archaeological colleagues misrepresented, cast as villains to fit a lazy narrative. But remarkably, the producers “remain proud of the film”! www.bbc.com/news/article...

My son works for this company here in the U.K. It was playing the video game ‘Deus Ex’ that set him on the path to becoming a Biomechanical Engineer. Sometimes, it’s nice to highlight the good things that video games can do. And also remind myself just how proud of him I am.
