Tens of millions of American motorists believe there's nothing wrong with texting at a stoplight. Or driving 73 in a 60mph zone. Or changing lanes without signaling. Or rolling right on red without coming to a full stop. But somebody has to do something about cyclists who don't follow the rules.

Lee-Egan, a Hopkins Street resident, said the opposition is “all about parking.”

“You’re living in a city with other people; you need to make choices that are good for more people than just yourself,” Lee-Egan said. “So it really bothers me that they care more about parking in front of their own houses or parking in front of businesses they like than my kids biking to school safely.”

Some good news today! SB 1167 would prohibit e-motos from being marketed and sold as e-bikes and hold manufacturers and vendors accountable. This is critical legislation, as e-motos and e-bikes have been conflated, and without this efforts will increase to restrict e-bikes, reducing e-bike usage.
