Today's Low Quality Ad is for this "You're Never Alone, There's Always Ghosts" Pin. Remember this when you're feeling lonely. When you're getting dressed. Getting undressed. Going to the bathroom. No matter how private the moment, ghosts are watching. collabs.shop/bfxhky
A round enamel pin featuring two white cartoon ghosts on a dark blue background with gold trim. The text "YOU'RE NEVER ALONE" arches across the top, and "THERE'S ALWAYS GHOSTS" arches across the bottom.

My institution piloted Grammarly Pro for students, so to be in the know, I added the extension to my browser. I can't tell you the number of times the robot policed my tone. Asking if I wanted to "sound more friendly" is truly the "smile more" of AI slop. I teach rhet/comp!

an orange cat is sitting politely but defiantly while someone holds a spoon up to his face as though to compare snoot size to lick marks. It’s possible the spoon has been licked, or it could just be a smudge

The core appeal of reactionary politics is hatred of competent and smart people who follow evidence rather than use it to support conclusions. A million incidents like this happen daily in academia and legal settings, and they're behind almost all right-wing "liberal bias" accusations.

📌REMINDER: 1. Donald Trump violently attacked the country on Jan. 6, 2021, while trying to overthrow the election. 2. He then retired to his dining room to root on the attack for three hours. 3. When it failed, he went on camera, and told the attackers that he "loved them." He's a damn traitor.

A problem is that many people know that the vast majority of the people who voted for the fascist in chief in 2024 would vote for him again today. So folks know that many people are politically untrustworthy. It adds to the malaise.

Paxton's buddy, a child rapist, raped a child for 3 fucking years, from the time the child was aged 8 until 11. And Paxton thinks 60 days in the country club prison for rich GOP Texans was sufficient penalty for raping a child for three years? Come on Texas, kick the Paxton trash to the curb in Nov.

“Our business model relies on obfuscating value through complexity, and these asshole robots read the manual”
An economist has weighed in on that dynamic with a question that banks are privately grappling with and racing to address: "Is an Agentic Bank Run Coming?" So wondered Torsten Slok, chief economist of Apollo Global Man-agement, in a note on Sunday.
"If every household used Al agents to optimize the return on their cash bal-ances, banks could lose a large share of the cheap deposits they rely on to make loans, which would be a problem for the entire financial system," Slok wrote, adding that Meta's Muse and other agents could move cash deposits around.

I can suggest an equation that has the potential to impact the future:

E = mc^2 + AI

This equation combines Einstein's famous equation E=mc^2, which relates energy (E) to mass (m) and the speed of light (c), with the addition of AI (Artificial Intelligence). By including AI in the equation, it symbolizes the increasing role of artificial intelligence in shaping and transforming our future. This equation highlights the potential for AI to unlock new forms of energy, enhance scientific discoveries, and revolutionize various fields such as healthcare, transportation, and technology.
