Erez, Omri, Pasha, Roshina, and Ofir Cohen find HSCs lack transplant potency during Salmonella infection. HSCs recover! Molecular data point to proliferation. We have a great opportunity to realize the exhaustion/regeneration of our own adult stem cells now. www.sciencedirect.com/science/arti...

Normal adult stem cells are activatwd by immune stimuli, so here we learn that dirmant cancer cells are activated too. Better understand both normal and malignant stem cells is needed.

Terribly irritating: those who do not realize the advantage of diversity, and the need to encourage further inclusion, do not know evolution (well, some of them deny Darwin, and call for "eugenics", which is funny)

Perfectly UNFAIR to publish w/o letting the project leaders respond. Text provides little information. Old techniques are being used, massively. We must test multiple approaches. Fairness = let NIH managers say why they support the trial.

CLICKBAIT VOICE
e.g.
We collected some samples...
You won't believe what happened next!

PASSIVE VOICE
e.g.
Samples were collected and tested.

HAIKU VOICE
e.g.
Quiet science lab.
Workers arrive with samples.
The testing begins.

PASSIVE-AGGRESSIVE VOICE
e.g. We did all the collecting and testing.
No need to thank us.
Just doing our job.

CONSPIRACY VOICE
e.g.
Mysterious "Samples" were harvested and covertly "tested" by so-called scientists.

Wonderful study of ancient European immuno-genetics. The HLA genes are probably the most variable of our genome, and stand as a pillar of adaptive immune responses. European discoveries suggest broader, global and most interestingly African study, so we better understand our common human history.

The #1 reported reason people avoid doctor’s appointments is because they’re afraid of finding out they have a serious illness. If you have that fear, that’s normal and you’re not alone. Also remember, there is basically no serious illness that isn’t less serious if you catch it sooner.
