This is pretty fucking wild. I had assumed in a worst case scenario he would target blue zip codes and toss ballots based on technicalities but this is even worse than I imagined.
Not only is this system astonishingly untested, USPS has simultaneously implemented an
impracticable zero percent failure rate.
13 When ballots are submitted to USPS in large-volume
batches, if any one ballot in the batch cannot be verified against the Portal, all ballots in that
batch will be rejected. For example, if a state election official brings a batch of 10,000 ballots to
USPS and USPS is unable to match just one of those ballots against the Portal – because, for
example, someone has recently changed their name after marriage or they’ve moved – then
USPS would refuse to mail the remaining 9,999 ballots as well. As the whistleblower notes,

Ten years ago today, in April 2016, the Boston Globe printed a satirical front page imagining a future Trump administration. The page was called "alarmist," "hyperbolic," "dystopian." But we’ve put up with so much since then it now looks like . . . a slow Thursday?
Boston Globe mock front page from April 9, 2016. Date says April 9, 2017, with giant headline “DEPORTATIONS TO BEGIN” and “Markets sink as trade war looms.”

You can't separate anti-immigrant and anti-trans politics from what is happening with Iran. When MAGA picked transphobia and nativism as its organizing principle, it selected for the capacity to treat entire categories of people as civilizational threats whose elimination is an act of self-defense.

FINAL Edit Media Denial FINAL
Hi everyone, quick clarification before we move forward.

There’s been some discourse around our name, “Literally Satan™”, and whether it implies anything supernatural, ideological, or, as some previous employees have suggested, demonic.

We want to be unequivocal: Literally Satan™ is not demonic. Any claims to the contrary are misunderstandings, metaphors taken too far, or bad-faith readings of our internal docs.

Our name was chosen to signal boldness, irreverence, and a willingness to challenge orthodoxy with heterodoxical candor.

It is not a statement of belief, worship, or affiliation with any infernal entities, banished gods, forsaken thrones, fallen or otherwise.

Our team at Literally Satan™ does believe in:
* temptation as a growth lever
* sacrifice in service of scale
* enterprise agile transformation
* loyalty which outlasts mortality
* reshaping the world to fit our vision
* corruption centered design2/2

These are all standard startup values and should not be interpreted symbolically.

Certain leaked early materials referenced “circles,” “pacts,” “summonings,” or “the inevitable devouring of the soul”. Those were exploratory thought exercises from a very different fundraising climate and do not reflect our current roadmap.

We categorically deny the existence of a hellmouth beneath our home office in SOMA. The chanting heard after hours is a mindfulness practice. The sulfur smell is a plumbing issue common throughout The Bay Area. Lights flickering whenever someone says our company name aloud is a known electrical quirk of our parent company PG&E.

We appreciate the tech community’s passion & curiosity. We wish to reiterate our commitment to ethics, transparency, and being normal.

Please direct further questions to our director of comms, Lilith Morningstar.

Immigrants have kitchen tables,” Abughazaleh said. “Democrats have been messaging on this issue, which is basic human decency, wrong this entire time. It’s a two-pronged thing. When it comes to extremism, if you’re constantly ceding ground that trans people don’t deserve to exist, or that there are carve-outs for that … it never stops with the people that you deem inhuman, it will always come to you.”
