And about the manufacturing process here ⬇️. If we want to build more homes like this, then we need to grow more timber. Frustrating that organisations like @royalsoced.bsky.social are unable to see the connection 🤷🏽‍♀️ ecosystemstech.com/systems/

Systems - Ecosystems Technologies
Ecosystems Technologies has pioneered the manufacture of homegrown mass timber products. Market perception held that UK sourced timber could not be commercially viable in the production of CLT and other associated engineered products.

This is why the 25th Amendment exists. This is the purpose of having the 25th Amendment. To not use this power to remove the president is not a passive act, a mere option: it is a positive decision to misuse the constitution.

Beautiful evening attending Nevis Landscape’s Creative Rainforest Exhibition. So many wonderful works on view. But it’s impossible not to be inspired by these intricate and vital pockets of precious rainforest. This was shown at the end and it was quite lovely www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p...
Three small wooden embroidery frames containing art representing the temperate rainforest in Scotland. The first is crocheted lichens and mosses in pale shades of green and grey with red tips on some. There are pixie cups and devils matchsticks and staghorn lichen amongst others The second is needle felting, crochet and punch needle I. Many shades of green. An attempt to capture the huge variety of textures and structures in a tiny space of the forestThe third is shades and textures of green and orange and brown inspired by the many things growing and living on trees in the rainforest

Farage is in the Maldives. 200 miles away from the Chagos Islands which are not a tourist destination. Hasn't got the paperwork and wasn't on the 'aid boat' he's pointing at which is trying to establish a settlement for four people on the islands. How is this serving Clacton? Who paid?
The video from Nigel Farage gives the

The sun dips behind the Bronze Age stone circle at Ardgroom, Beara, as it has for 1,000s of years. But we're living in a time unlike any before, of huge rising and intersecting threats: ecological and climate collapse, fascism, and AI. Our strengths are each other, our numbers, nature, and love ✊️

Winter can be a challenging time to work in North West Scotland, but it certainly has its moments. One of our Reserves Project Officers snapped these stunning photos while undertaking path maintenance and checking the people counters at our Ben Mor Coigach reserve. Not a bad day at the office 😎
A road long bending road, lined by small shrubs and a small stretch of moorland which leads to a loc. Mountains rise against a bright blue sky in the background.A laptop has been placed next to a black bollard-like device which is used for counting passersby. Heathery moorland stretches into the distance towards a loch, whit mountains rising behind.A single track road winding through moorland. Small islands dot the sea in the distance, while the sky above is a bright blue.

There are 2 books which I would strongly suggest for people to read or re-read: The Hobbit. The Lord Of The Rings. This is from The Lord Of The Rings chapter is The Shadow of the Past.
‘I wish it need not have happened in my time,’ said Frodo. ‘So do I,’ said Gandalf, ‘and so do all who live to see such times. But that is not for them to decide. All we have to decide is what to do with the time that is given us.’

"A council spokesperson said it could not say how many of the 230 new homes would be social or affordable housing." How can they not know? Surely it's part of the long term planning for the scheme? In other words they've made no provision for social housing & we all know affordable is anything but.

In UK (usually) timber harvesting companies buy standing timber from forest owners, then engage harvesting contractors and hauliers, and sell to sawmills. People get paid when the timber gets to the mill and is weighed. If timber is harvested & sat at roadside, then people haven’t been paid.
