This should be the takeaway from Markey's win. Not that an older candidate bucked a trend by beating a younger one. That the candidate who stood up for a marginalized community in an uncompromising way won in dominant fashion. I really love my state.

I understand the sentiment, but feel just the opposite. AI is saturating every surface of students’ lives. What we have to offer them is not small tweaks to their engagements w the technology, but rather spaces separate from it via which they can develop their own critical faculties.

This is why I think it's so important to be vocal about not using AI. It's also why I think those of us who mask and/or have never had Covid-19 need to be vocal about that, too. There's a general sense of resignation these days borne from propaganda that says "Just accept it. Everyone else has."

DHS bought a warehouse in a city called Social Circle, GA, then refused to answer questions on how they'd use it. So, the city cut off water and sewer services, put a lock on the water meter, and said that services will remain off “until ICE answers their questions." This is how we stop fascism.❤️✊🏽
