PC in an official game? There have been entire *sidebars* meant to address unexpectedly disruptive shit that happened in our playtests and new character classes based on things they couldn’t quite pull off but that sounded very cool. Also, multiple art pieces. I have no shame, so yes, I have ever.

Beth’s work put us up at a local-ish lake resort for the weekend, which was cool. Weirdly, our cabin wasn’t ready until 6pm (!). Once it was, we found that every surface had been wiped down with vinegar. Then we found the box of Plan B under the kitchen sink. My sincere condolences to housekeeping.

I can tell this is going to be one of those mornings where I spend an hour+ inventing a ritual appropriate to my protagonist's fictional culture (a funeral, in this case) that will only serve as the backdrop to the events of a single scene.

This feels correct, especially given the long line for the crop art *because it's so political this year* May Day was cathartic for many in Minneapolis and St. Paul proper because of the desire to be in community with people proud of this place. The fair taps similar sentiments.

Fortunately, this stupid, stupid, plot hole has a solution, & looking through the existing text, there's a preexisting trail of breadcrumbs I can make lead directly to that solution without too much trouble. Habits developed over decades of running sandbox-style TTRPG games are useful sometimes.

Love it when I think something is a huge anachronism and it turns out that, for example, joke books have been around for thousands of years - with the earliest surviving one coming to us from at least the 3rd century CE, which predates the printing press by lots. Nothing new under the sun.
