Fun fact: The last time the S&P 500 was this close to a record (-0.44%) with fewer of its members above their 200-day moving averages (51.2%)? March 27, 2000, the day after the index put in its dot com bubble closing peak! (-0.24% with just 34.1% of members above the 200-day).

It is worth mentioning the Top 10% rule in TX is a racial quota proxy with the claim it helps Hispanic & Black American enrollment but in reality that hasn’t been much help. Instead the biggest impact is helping white enrollment at the expense of Asian Americans. This is why the TX GOP supports it.

Tesla’s active robotaxi fleet in Austin crashes back to 8 vehicles after Cybercab pump
Tesla’s active robotaxi fleet in Austin has fallen back to just 8 vehicles over the past seven days, according to data from community tracker Robotaxi Tracker. That’s about the same number Tesla had on the road when it launched the service in June 2025. Fifteen months of promises, and no net growth. A surge following the “launch of the Cybercab” quickly dissipated. more…

Trump could have had lower rates if he hadn’t: 1) started a war 2) added tariffs 3) increased gov debt to fund tax cuts

Engineer Hawk @engineerhawk.bsky.social · 16/09/2026
The obvious question is: why is inflation high? The answer is simple; Trump caused it. He first increased deficit borrowing by cutting taxes on the wealthy, then he increased prices directly with tariffs & government overreach, and lastly he started a war which severely impacted world oil supply.

Tesla’s share price has underperformed the market since Q3 2025, with each of its quarterly earnings misses, indicating a waning interest in Musk’s “robotaxi” ambitions.
