Every time I see a Cybertruck, I think that for the same money that idiot could have purchased a real truck like Ford, GM, Ram or a real luxury vehicle like Porshe, BMW, Audi.

Every GOP member of congress is just as responsible as Trump for this; by being scared little puppets, they have allowed Trump to wage war without a declaration.

Trump has never acknowledged an election defeat, not even in the 2016 primaries. He has never hidden his anti-election agenda. The fact Jan6 was ok with so many Americans by electing Trump in 2024 revealed our democracy is in serious jepoardy.

They should be more careful. If billionaires and government leaders keep smiling and laughing together in the open, Americans will begin looking past the culture war especially when it comes to AI.

are actually worth holding. I may convert my AI portfolio to QQQ and 2-3 AI ETFs to get AI exposure. I think many of the stocks that shot up this year on AI infrastructure / supply / commodities are overvalued, but I'm more comfortable holding an 'AI Index' than picking winners and losers. TBD...

Enlightening article. I have been investing in AI stocks for 10 years. I didn't like the AI ETFs available so I created my own AI index portfolio and it has beaten the AI ETFs and QQQ over the time period, but it is now getting crazy difficult to see through the fog of what AI companies ...

Remember when the government got involved in EVs with mandated regulatory credits, tax deductions, and government low interest loans? It created the world's richest man who is now using his wealth and influence to attack western democracies.

When inflation is on target, they hold rates; when inflation is hot, they raise rates; when inflation is below target (or unemployment is high), they lower rates. Same old stuff even with all the 'big changes', 'new communications', and 'task forces'. Will Warsh become a puppet is the only unknown.

Put me the camp of not caring if I get “forward guidance” or not. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know what the Fed will do either way. Also I have a feeling these 5 task forces are just doing meaningless make-work.

SCHWAB: “.. While we have seen this level of yields before and some say we are just back in the ‘old normal,’ I think what sometimes gets lost in the discourse is the speed with which rates have moved higher ... we haven't seen this kind of 5-year increase in the 10y yield since the '80s.”

Fun fact: The last time the S&P 500 was this close to a record (-0.44%) with fewer of its members above their 200-day moving averages (51.2%)? March 27, 2000, the day after the index put in its dot com bubble closing peak! (-0.24% with just 34.1% of members above the 200-day).

It is worth mentioning the Top 10% rule in TX is a racial quota proxy with the claim it helps Hispanic & Black American enrollment but in reality that hasn’t been much help. Instead the biggest impact is helping white enrollment at the expense of Asian Americans. This is why the TX GOP supports it.

Tesla’s active robotaxi fleet in Austin crashes back to 8 vehicles after Cybercab pump
Tesla’s active robotaxi fleet in Austin has fallen back to just 8 vehicles over the past seven days, according to data from community tracker Robotaxi Tracker. That’s about the same number Tesla had on the road when it launched the service in June 2025. Fifteen months of promises, and no net growth. A surge following the “launch of the Cybercab” quickly dissipated. more…
