Some ceramics nonsense I’ve been up to lately (these are new glazes I made myself; I’ve also been experimenting with colored porcelain handles 🥰):

I make all my feelings. Joy cups take forever. And they’re a real drag. What does that say about my experience of joy? @_@

I am making cups. It’s slow. My hand hurts. These are my first in over a year, since my accident and hand surgery. I can make 2/day right now. But I’m working on it. It’s very humid in the studio so trimming is not really happening yet, but hopefully soon.

Observing ICE activity is not a crime. This is another attempt from Trump’s authoritarian regime to try and suppress free speech and dissent. But we will never stop exercising our constitutional right to legally observe the federal government’s illegal activities.

In theory, "advanced placement" course in high schools are meant to give students a head start on college-level work, but in practice these courses serve as *replacements* for that college-level work, and very poor ones at that.

My therapist of almost 4 years abruptly could not see me anymore and said they would talk to new therapist re: my history so I didn’t have to rehash everything. I signed a release. New therapist is now unable to get in touch with former therapist. I know they’re dealing with a lot rn. I’m just sad.

Kids should be learning that AI output isn’t trustworthy, where it really comes from, and how it’s disrupting our ability to tell what’s real. They shouldn’t be learning that AI will make them more efficient or do their work for them because it can’t. That would be propaganda, not education

The New York Times writes far more stories about the trans community than any other US print outlet, and is the least likely to quote a trans person when it does. Seems bad?
