Federal agents were also active on Chicago's northwest side this morning, per rapid response teams. They report multiple people "questioned and detained" near a Burger King in Humboldt Park, near North & Mozart, and at least one person detained at a gas station in Hermosa, near Armitage & Pulaski.

Something I learned from my public health days is that an easy way to improve health broadly in the U.S. would be to simply increase funding for SNAP so families could buy what they want. Too long we've restricted SNAP because of ridiculous ideas about what lower income people should eat.

Hi, I'm the ProPublica reporter who's been tracking an unusual stat: U.S. citizens grabbed by immigration agents. I did it because the government isn’t. This is what I found.

Hey folks! I'm a part of an ICE bike patrol group for Lincoln Sq/Ravsswood and Albany Park. ICE has been all over the north side today and there are a few schools that have reached out to see if our folks are available to help monitor during dismissal.
I know some schools/parents have organized specific groups within their community to do this sort of dismissal ICE watch. If you know of one of these groups at our neighborhood schools and would like support from this bike patrol group please reach out to me. Happy to be a conduit for information sharing.

This is going around again and it is not true. Like every site on the internet, Bluesky uses machine learning to do a first-pass approximation of image classification to detect and label content. They have repeatedly confirmed outside services do not use Bluesky user data to train their models.
