When my daughter was in 5th class we switched from driving to school to cycling (about 4km) with a group. Took her about 2 weeks to get into it but she would not go back. Being in the back of a car is boring, being on a bike having the chats with your pals is fun!

The FAI require all competitive football (soccer) to be played with a size 5 ball. Even "cubs" (age 4 to 6). None of our neighbours mandate such idiocy. In England they start with a size 2 ball and Wales, Scotland, NI start with a size 3. You can't spell "fail" without FAI.
