Tula bag update: I've cut out the heavy stabilizer, the foam, and the non woven stabilizer. All that's left is the 3,012 pieces of lining fabric and woven stabilizer. 😂 I told my friend when she chose this pattern: there are a gazillion pieces. Cutting them all will take a long time. I was right.

I'm making Sallie Tomato's Tula Tote as a Mahjong bag for a friend. I've successfully cut out all the main and contrast fabric pieces, so what' left is interfacing, lining fabric, foam and stabilizer, which is about 8,493 more pieces. 😂

Proof of completion! The darling's name is Ivy Rayne. The fabric line is named after a nearby (to me) body of water. The quilting in the rows is (supposed to be) alternating rows of ivy and wind/clouds/rain. The raindrops on the binding all fall down! The backing fabric is the same as the binding.

Ok. The directional binding is on the baby quilt. I ripped out a row that had railroad tracks. It was a lot of work to rip out that row, putting to rest my fear that if a thread got snagged, the whole row would pull out. Gotta re-quilt that row and then calling it done.
