I am especially excited to now establish an independent research program, build a new team and develop new approaches to understand disease mechanisms across biological scales. Doing this at the IMP, and returning to Vienna, makes this next chapter particularly meaningful to me.

⭐Using this approach, we identified structural and molecular alterations in facial sensory nerves linked to reduced sensory responses. Similar molecular signatures were also found in trigeminal ganglia from obese humans, underscoring the potential translational relevance of these findings.
