Yes, I got these 3 councillors to pose for a pic at #KidicalMassHfx, but this was hardly a photo op. @lecwhite.bsky.social marshalled, as she has many times before. @shawncleary.bsky.social piloted a tandem bike to help Councillor Hinch participate. All 3 stayed & chatted long after the ride. 1/2

In memoriam: Dr. Nouman Ali, a member of Halifax's cycling community, was killed last week when a driver opened their door into his path on Strawberry Hill Street. Our thoughts are with his family, friends, and everyone who is mourning his loss. 🕯️

I admit I was a bit nervous for my first time riding my grandson for drop off at daycare. But it was smooth sailing. He loves it — he’s sixteen months old. Fortunately Brunswick St. Bike lane was open. The far end on the south side of Sprig Garden was blocked a little with landscaping. #bikehfx

Did you know you can get from the Woodside Ferry terminal to the Salt Marsh Trail with very little exposure to traffic? Cycling Guide showed me the way and then helped me navigate the circuitous route. On the return trip we used the Shearwater Flyer trail and sidewalks along (un)Pleasant St #bikehfx
