Again, speed cameras make a lot of sense as a solution to police using traffic as a pretext for racist exploitation/violence. Issue is entrusting these systems to the police only reintroduces the very problems of the police in the first place.

Last night I was injured as a result of NYPD’s reckless and indiscriminate violence against protestors at Columbia last night. A group of us rightfully tried to stop a group of 10+ cops who body slammed a student, choked him, and put his knee into his back before arresting him

When the student was pushed by the cops, he started walking away before they escalated their physical violence against him, as they did with multiple students on 114th and Broadway

As a group of us followed to intervene as the cops who picked up the student and dragged him to the ridiculous NYPD school bus for protestors and drove him away *alone*

This!!! Andor and Rogue One make IV, V, and VI actually have weight. The original trilogy are pretty basic good v evil movies. The empire is simply a superpowered police force. Andor makes all that much more real and grounded by showing what real oppression looks like. What real rebellion costs.
