Mercury is the smallest planet in our solar system, so it seemed only right that I used a tiny 5" canvas for it! I originally wanted to paint the planet in 'real' colours, but that was just grey. This view caught my eye and looked so much better imo! 🤭 Sending you all love and clear skies💜💫 🧪🔭🐡

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.

From DISCVR blog's Facebook page, a momma bear & a yearling cub on her back in the shallow water. I think the background has been swapped out, and I can't rule out some AI use there? God, Facebook has become the social media for AI slop : (

Kiln firing went very well. This one piece from it -- a little espresso mug I made for a friend. Crystalline matte glaze on the outside, rich blue glossy on the inside. One of 54 pieces I fired. There were some flaws and one failure, but mostly good. I am so thrilled. Onwards.

These cutie pies flew the nest last week (thank you so much to the person who ordered them!! 🥰). Took a quick pic before shipping them off! :)

As a painter who changed surfaces from canvas to ceramics. It sure is interesting how some strangers believe: 1. They are entitled to your "recipe" 2. They KNOW your technique 3. It matters whether you throw your own pot (vs no one asks if you stretched your own canvas)

Behind both swans are walls with a tile pattern of black 8 point stars lined in white on a grey background framing an empty space doorway is shaded wall moulding.
