Other forms of non-generative AI are cool too, mind you! Uses in medical research, spider-verse-like animation, stuff like that! I'm not really opposed to the technology as a whole, just how it's being shoved into places it shouldn't be, to such an extent that it's harming our jobs & planet.

Damn, I hope that when the AI bubble bursts, we find the few actual good uses for it & stick to those. Like Motion Capture, or the Dot Com bubble, or whatever else. Generative AI's only good uses are as a quicker, but less factually accurate, search algorithm, that's used to find a primary source.

At some point, people need to engage with FF7's remakes in terms of what they *are* and not because of what they aren't. Meet it where it's at, not what they "didn't do." Those guys swung for the fences with this trilogy, and that's worth more to me than a new coat of paint on a timeless classic.
