Well it’s a better result than I expected. The judge has sentenced the driver who nearly crashed into me & another cyclist (in a separated cycle lane!) then physically assaulted me to: - 9 months supervision (probation) - must complete a stop violence programme - reparations of several hundred $

Yesterday I got a text reminder about an appointment saying please give 24hr notice if you’re unable to attend to avoid a $50 cancellation fee. I just got another text, less than 3 hours before the appt, cancelling it. Where’s MY $50?! We’ve scheduled our entire day of errands around it arghhhhh.

Ōtautahi PSA: we’ve learned that there’s an after hours GP service (booked appts) on Selwyn St in case you need to be seen for something that’s not an actual emergency dept case, but when you can’t wait in an after hours clinic for hours either. Expensive ($120) but v good and timely care.

I had a major birthday-baking disaster this morning (so much wasted ingredients 😩) so I hopped on the bike and picked up a bunch of donuts from Ian at Grumpy’s. Three boxes fit easily and securely in the front cargo bag on my e-bike. Lifesaver!

I can guess where Adam is going with this but my answer is: I’d want one week’s worth of any given subject at high school (so typically 4 lessons). Bc on any given day a lesson might only be for finishing up a task, or starting a new topic, or maybe teacher/students are having a bad day.
