iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

There are lots of regions of NZ that are very different to Otago (all awesome in their own ways). More regions than most people would have time for! But we do have some terrible drivers like most places.

I feel like you and Jeremy would enjoy the same kinds of rides, so I thought of you straight away! But I am not in the least surprised that you know some people, lol.

I feel like you should do it and I’ll show you around Ōtautahi Christchurch!! But someone local who could actually give some good advice on this would be @dialogcrm.bsky.social

I mean, arghhh, this is blatant disinformation. 🤯 YES, DAVID, there’s quite a lot of evidence to suggest that’s exactly what has happened. It’d be great if any media presented him with even a tiny sample of the research showing the ways in which people’s health has been harmed by covid infection.

Today I have used my cargo e-bike to deliver Biketober tshirts, get groceries, and get some plants. 🚲 I get so much happiness from riding my bike to run errands and #carryshitolympics, it’s incredible! I probably could have walked my bike into the garden centre but parked right at the door. 🙌🏼

Looking down on my bike with the front cargo bag open, revealing two Meuhlenbeckia axillaris.

Ok here we go. First day of Term 4, last term of high school for our youngest two kids. Some big decision making still happening about next year, this is such a full on time! Deep breaths required all around. 😮‍💨

If you’ve seen Ciara’s crossstitch work you’ll know she makes beautiful pieces. If you can, a few dollars will make a big difference.

"Ripping out these protected bike lanes against the will of Toronto city council is a colossal waste of $48 million. The province’s own experts know it will not ease traffic congestion, it will put people’s lives at risk…” One of the stupidest things I’ve ever seen any politician do to any city.

Ontario will officially begin removing Toronto bike lanes on Tuesday | CBC News

Ontario will begin removing bike lanes from a stretch on Bloor Street W. in Etobicoke on Tuesday, the Ministry of Transportation says.

In 'Land, Race and the Settler Imagination', Liana MacDonald examines how settler colonialism is sustained in Aotearoa, by the spaces we move through, the institutions we work in and the stories we tell. Recognising our part in this story is where change begins. An incisive new BWB Text. Out now!

One of the teens had some classmates here for a L3 Photography shoot and I promised them pizza for lunch. Parked my bike literally outside the door of the pizza place and five pizza boxes EASILY fit in my e-bike’s front cargo bag. I felt like some kind of superhero. 🚲🦸‍♀️ Small win but I’ll take it!

Ohhh that’s really unpleasant. 🥴 I very nearly fainted giving blood once when a new phlebotomist “wasn’t used to lefties.” I’ve never seen a group of people run so fast to get to me! Hope you and your arms are feeling better now.

This morning I was on my bike, stopped at train crossing arms (Ensors Rd, Chch) with lights & bells blaring, while 3 guys sauntered across the tracks as the train driver repeatedly blasted his horn as he approached and continued past. He was GLARING at these guys and I don’t blame him one bit.

It’s a great idea. Should be a mandatory exercise for anyone who’s in a position to restrict/remove/deny active and public transport options.

Yes that would have been a good result. No idea if the judge considered it.

programme (or taking part in one, if she doesn’t already know how). But the $ will go towards a 360 degree camera for my bike (they are $$$), bc near misses like this are frequent. I was lucky to have witnesses this time, but there aren’t always other around to see it happen.
