When looking at the issue of anti-trans legislation, Parton said that “I try to get into the human element of it.” Pointing out that she has people in her life who identify as queer and trans, the 77-year-old star said it was important to hear what they’re saying.

Part of the reason for the disconnect between the official economic numbers and how negative people feel about the economy is that a bunch of bad stuff is opaque. Private Credit is barely regulated, Klarna doesn't show up in credit data, partial claims from banks hide mortgage delinquencies, etc.
