An aside on this thread: it’s unlikely we will ever have entirely machine made clothing. For 3D printing or laser-cut and welded, we’ll have to use plastics and those aren’t comfortable. The two likely real world options are circular knits — so far, we can machine-knit at 2 meter circumference.

This recording shows a series of irregular waves interrupted by periods of quiescence. The record came from a seismograph located on the grounds of the Port Alberni High School and was telemetred to the Pacific Geoscience Centre. Based upon his experience and the character of the recording, one of the seismic technicians thought that someone was trying to break into the concrete vault that housed the seismograph. He phoned the Port Alberni RcMP who promised to immediately investigate. A short time later, the technician received a return phone call reporting that a young couple was found in flagrante delicto on the roof of the seismic vault. To our knowledge, this is the world's only seismograph recording of an act of love.

This seismogram was recorded by a seismograph located in a vault on the grounds of the Port Alberni Secondary School on January 11, 1996. The repeated waxing and waning of energy and the lack of distinct P and S wave phases indicate that this event was not an earthquake. It was discovered that its cause was a young couple getting to know one another on the roof of the seismic vault.”

Here's Backpack as a yearling in 2007, unable to put weight on the injured paw. Holly took her cub & moved upriver, away from aggressive bears who might harm him at Brooks Falls. Fishing was harder for the pair, and she risked both of them struggling or starving, but he was SAFE.

Backpack in 2007, nursing an injured paw that is turned under, so that he can't put any weight on it. If you're wondering why they didn't provide vet care, it's their policy not to interfere when an injury is natural and not caused by human activity.

Omigod, this is the most heartwarming story possible! Backpack (bear 89) is the son of the 2019 winner of Fat Bear Week, Holly (bear 435). In 2007, he injured his foot & a practice of riding on momma's Holly's back had a new meaning: he was mobility-restricted while it healed. So Holly moved him.
