A lot of talk around Adobe & Canva Affinity recently. Here's my 2 cents. A lot of us old creatives grew up in a time of competition between design apps (Quark, Corel, Macromedia, Omni). Competition was good. It forced the cream to rise to the top and acted as bulwark against a single walled-garden.

After living with Apple's new UI for almost a month, it's... fine, I guess? I've got used to it. It's still not "good". But weighing it against the hassle of switching platforms, I'm resigned to staying on apple. I'd rather have everything work and be slightly ugly than the alternative.

I figured out why I hate Liquid Glass so much. It looks like a kid who’s using Photoshop for the first time, discovered the Bevel & Emboss filter, and has applied it to EVERYTHING. It’s childish, and immature.

I've been a Mac user since 1992, and Liquid Glass has turned me off so badly that I'm 90% sure I'm going to switch to Linux (Zorin OS) and Android (Google Pixel). The question is: Build a desktop PC from scratch? OR go with a laptop (like Framework 16)?
