Team Parka here. My home town never got a max daily temp below 15C and parkas in winter were a good thing there too. But I have noticed that many members of Team Shorts are horrified at the idea of having indoor temps at 18C in winter and just putting on a jumper, so who really is weak?

OxBridge-trained Brits pride themselves on debating flourishes, especially when in former provinces. (Eg: www.theatlantic.com/technology/a... Steve Hilton is not doing a lot to hold up that image, vs plain old Xavier Becerra on CNN. Maybe softened by life in bubble of right-wing talk radio.

This has to be written by someone who is trying to point out to the parents how dumb they are? Because this is (a) complaining about paying for therapy that the parents want and their child almost certainly doesn't; and (b) admitting that the child's position is logical while the parents' is not.

I am not a great bike rider, but have been getting up the (minor) local hills with ease recently. Then today there was a moderate headwind that deliberately started up as I started up each and every hill and that was just a rude and uncalled for slap to my ego.
