I must apologise for Richard Stupid Tice not understanding that no gas or oil is ‘our own’ because Maggie Thatcher sold it off, so it is all sold by private companies on the global market. Norway did not sell theirs off and now have a sovereign wealth fund of £1.6trillion.

The “special relationship” always been imbalanced.Trump’s merely ripped the tactful veneer off it. IMO, Starmer was right not to join the Iran offensive; but also right to adapt to changing circs by committing defensive resources now. We didn’t want this war, but must now try to limit its impacts.

Really disappointed she's gone. Sir Laurie Magnus found Rayner had “acted with integrity with a dedicated and exemplary commitment to public service”. She made a mistake. But it shows Starmer has immensely more integrity than Johnson who ignored every enquiry into breaches of the ministerial code.
