i have to confess something. i have never, ever not once used chatgpt for anything and its literally unimaginable to me that anyone would. people everywhere whose taste and opinions i would normally trust will be like "yeah i use it for x" why? what would compel you to do that? don't answer this

I'm not a Luddite or technophobe. I just know that after 466 years the thing on the left can be read fine. The thing top-right is 15 years old & uses tech that already no longer comes standard on computers. And the 30-yr-old thing bottom-right needs specialized antique hardware & software to read.

everyone's favorite wizards commissioned by @jennie-munchkin.bsky.social! they requested Caleb and Essek finally getting outside and enjoying some whisky hot chocolate at a campfire 🔥 a cozy early autumn night spent sharing stories and petting Frumpkins 🐱 thank you for commissioning me! #shadowgast

digital fanart of Essek Thelyss and Caleb Widogast from Critical Role. Essek is a drow with light purple skin and short white curly hair, wearing a soft cape wrapped around his shoulders, a dark tunic, a teal shirt with decorative bracers, similarly colored pants and short lace-up boots; Caleb is a light-skinned human with a beard and long red hair brushed back into a ponytail, dressed in a simple white shirt, brown trousers and tall leather boots. they're sitting on a blanket-covered log in front of a campfire that is just out of frame; Caleb is petting a very happy-looking Frumpkin, who has taken the form of a fluffy ginger cat and is sitting on his lap, and Essek is leaning his head on Caleb's shoulder, holding an earthenware mug in his hands. Caleb's mug is on the ground, and behind them, there are trees and a dark blue-purple starry sky.

I loved the imagery of this moment so much I wanted to draw it. How do you even tag stuff on this site anyway. Crirical Role Fanart? CriticalRoleFanart? Caleb Widoghast, Veth Brenatto?

A vertical digital illustration of Caleb and Veth from Critical Role. Caleb is a human pale-skinned wizard with red hair and a long shabby coat. Veth is a fat halfling with dark skin and a lilac coat with white fuzzy trim. They are crammed together in a small tunnel exit to a large, deep cave. Caleb has his arm around Veth, protecting her, and Veth has her arm blocking the exit, protecting him. Caleb is producing some small orbs of light that float down and disappear into the dark depths.

Cropped image of the vertical digital illustration. It is cropped to just show Caleb and Veth in the tunnel exit.

Yasha is convinced their cake is a half gooey half burnt mess because Essek was wearing gloves the entire time they were baking (alchemist habits) and due to that none of his love had transferred from his hands to the ingredients. also she wasn't sure what baking powder is #criticalrolefanart

digital sketch of Yasha and Essek from critical role, styled like a little comic panel. they are standing next to each other and looking down at a steaming cake pan. Yasha has her hands on her hips and is saying "I don't think cakes are supposed to be gooey in the center like that...". Essek is touching his face with one hand with a pensive expression, hugging himself with the other arm, and is replying "No, I don't believe they are". Yasha is wearing a belted tunic with the sleeves rolled all the way up to her shoulders, showing off her massive arms; her wild curly hair is at its post-campaign chin length, with a few braids woven into it. Essek is wearing a simple oversized shirt, gloves that look like they were designed for protection and not food handling, and Yasha's apron, which reads 'Zadashian in the streets, Xhorhassian in the sheets' and is way too big for him.
