NEW: As Trump’s White House and influencers keep touting the unproven benefits of raw milk, hundreds across the country are falling ill from outbreaks. Some people get severe indigestion. And some nearly die. Here's the story of one toddler who drank it. 🧵👇 www.propublica.org/article/cali...

Every time some joker from X breaks containment on here, I'm surprised they are still around and people give them the time of day. There's a good reason to flip the bozo bit on them and don't look back. Friedersdorf is a joke. Guess some people are being given yet another time to learn that.

Since we have reached pay-per-scene micropayments, I would just like to pay $1 and you tell me what is in the scene so I don't have to waste hours of my time in the theater. Also, I will pay $5 for the summary and bar/forum talking points for Doomsday, because I'm tired of superhero movies.

I don't love dunking on folks but it's so fucking funny to me that Trump was convicted of 34 felonies 2 years ago, faced no punishment, and went on to win the presidency a second time and journalists are still like, "hmm, I have an inkling that maybe he believes he's above the law for some reason."
Post from NYT reporter Eric Lipton

"What an odd moment in United States history.

A U.S. president is running an overtly political campaign advertisement, right before midterm elections, paid for by the U.S. government.

Trump appears to believe he is immune from any kind of legal limit."

When things cool down, they seek a lower-energy, lower-entropy state. For example water vapor will condense into little droplets of mist when you cool it. Physicists have taken this concept of "condensation" and generalized the heck out of it. Let's look at a few examples.

I'd never seen this Roy Lichtenstein painting before, but it's incredible how he manages unfailingly to make his copies worse than the original comics he's ripping off.
A drab pop art painting of a sinister man driving a car, watching a stoic blonde in leopard print fur. The proportions of the guy's face are offThe original image, from Girls' Romances 78 by Tony Abruzzo. The guy has a more sinister leer, while the woman has heavier mascara and feels both sadder and more determined. A caption reads "I vowed to myself I would NOT miss my appointment -- that I would NOT go riding with him--yet before I knew it..."

I say again, any "pause/pacing/contemplative silence where AI CEOs think about what they've done and promise to be very good boys from now on" that doesn't result in ACTUAL enforcement mechanisms to hold them Several-Hundred-Billion-Dollars accountable any time their product fucks up is nigh useless
Screenshot of posts from me:

Chris, they trained a system to hack & got scared when it hacked. This is on human beings not being able to logically think through what they've built & what they then trained & told it to do; they'll never "solve alignment," because they can't get what human values they're trying to "align" "Al" To.

Hold the HUMANS accountable for what their systems do. The humans' companies and individual humans themselves.
