Important public opinion patterns described here by Steve. The fragmented elite-level consensus on climate change and aggressive anti-net zero campaign on the (far) right is starting to show in UK public polls. Once again evidence that elites matter, leadership is lacking and apathy is a tragedy.

Ich muss es verpast haben, dass führende Politiker:innen von SPD von Grünen die in der CDU weit verbreitete Queerfeindlichkeit angesprochen haben und es als Bedingung formuliert haben sich von dieser Queerfeindlichkeit zu distanzieren, bevor man in eine Koalition gehen kann.

Speaker notes with Latex are also easy enough on windows share/present part of the screen and if you are a Mac user consider a pdf viewer called skim, that allows synchronous notes display. But yeah quarto is probably the neater way to go but also, tbh, why change a system that works for you?

I am working on a new function in Metacheck's upcoming data-validate module. I am interested in detecting and labeling scales and measures. It is working pretty well, but in case I am reinventing the wheel - do you know of tools that can find scales in datasets in repositories?

Zwei Liniendiagramme vergleichen die Steuerbelastung in Prozent des Einkommens von 2008 bis 2025. Beim mittleren Einkommen von 85’000 Franken bleibt die Belastung relativ stabil und sinkt bis 2025 leicht auf etwas über 13 Prozent. Beim sehr hohen Einkommen von 1 Million Franken fällt sie stärker: von rund 32,7 Prozent im Jahr 2008 auf etwa 31,7 Prozent im Jahr 2025. Die Abbildung betont, dass die Steuerentlastung bei sehr hohen Einkommen deutlich grösser ausfällt als bei mittleren Einkommen.
