There are NOT machine-made clothes. If there were, your clothes would be made in the country you live in (where the customers are), or in China (where machines are cheap). They’re made in Bangladesh or India or Indonesia because that’s where the LABOUR is cheap. Your clothes are made by people.

Joyce Carol Oates says: “This is why Al-generated romance novels make perfect sense. Formulaic fiction doesn't need to be written by hand, so to speak; what difference does it make if a machine "writes" it? There are machine-made clothes & there are custom-made clothes. They appeal to
different consumers.“

Once again, we should not have a death penalty. But so long as we do, firing squad is the actually humane way to do it. But we don't do that because it allows society to understand that the death penalty is fucking barbaric and that killing people is not an appropriate use of government power.

Obviously an idiotic post, but it does get at a very common pro-AI argument which is the idea of "personalized art." It is maybe the most fundamental misunderstanding of art possible. Art is great precisely and only because it isn't personalized.

Kay guarded her expression. She had the upper hand, but a reminder of the vampire who had turned Alexei’s new girlfriend threatened to change that. “Yes. But that’s not what’s happened here. He wanted you to change him. You did it with consent, and he knew what he was agreeing to.” #WIPSnips

Kay cocked her head to the side. He was certainly a vampire, but she could tell he was quite young, newly changed. Not really Beatrice’s usual type. “Does Beatrice typically knock on her own front door?” The man cocked his head as well, as if mirroring her. “No.” #WIPSnips #writingcommunity

Have contractors in my house today. I forgot to take the laundry down and they were walking under my bras and underwear for 90 mins. 15 mins after they arrived, Mr Brigid Finn farted loud enough to wake the neighbors despite me texting him that they were here *thrice.* So it’s going great.

Trying to get into morning pages. At the risk of sounding lazy, 3 longhand pages every day is going to be a hell of a workout for my left hand. But I have always wanted to be the type of eccentric who's like "I HAVE to do my little journaling every day or I'LL DIE" so this is good for me.

I've been listening to Howl's Moving Castle on audiobook (on Hoopla) and it's a v pleasant listen. It's lifting my mood a bit. And I say this as someone who never reads children's books (unless it's to a child, ofc). I'm devastated I didn't read this as a child though- I would've loved it.

Hi. This is a tease for an anthology I'm putting together and will be releasing for #free this #Halloween on itch.io. It is #horror and #erotica shoved in a blender by me and my friends until an adult version of "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" emerged from the gunk within. #smutsky #horrorsky

"The house on the corner has a reputation, though no one will ever admit anything is amiss. You're better of not learning the truth behind the rumors yourself."

"An Erotically Inclined Halloween Anthology"

The illustrated image of a house in blue and gray tones is covered by an image of black torn paper, hiding the majority of the image as a tease of the cover. The title is almost fully visible in a font that has letters appearing to slide into place, replacing the same letter that was already there with a new one. "The Blue House on the Corner" and "Five-minute Sensual Horrors" are both partially covered by the black paper.

It is a stupid marketing gimmick thing, but I am excited about this project, so bear with me, please. I am not a graphic designer, and I am doing the cover illustration by my friend an injustice with my piss-poor attempt at clever marketing shit.

The brilliance of writer Octavia Butler is in Parable of the Sower & Parable of the Talents, she nailed the most frightening possible post apocalyptic outcome that involved many parts of civil life continuing normally while people abide the other parts that diverge dramatically from American life.
