A good fresh Star Trek take on those fake isekai title jokes

A tumblr screenshot showing a post and two reblog responses, reading:
1. "star trek would be the ideal fictional universe to get trapped in because you'd explain your situation and they'd be like yeah makes sense. no further questions. fortunately we can use the mysterious warp signature emitting from this system's icy moon to counterface with the solar radiation and slingshot you back home"
2. "I'm from a universe where your world is all a work of fiction." Benjamin Sisko, nodding. "That happened to me once."
3. "I Got Isekaid Into The Star Trek Universe And They Quickly Understood What Was Happening"

i have another one: my brother had a copy of Mortal Kombat Trilogy for the N64 that he wasn't allowed to play when i was in the room because my mom knew it would give me nightmares. one day he called me into the room and put in the cheat code to play the Supreme Demonstration (all the fatalities)

i think i've told this story before but i used to be really scared of Super Mario World because during the final boss fight, the game uses amaaaaazing revolutionary Mode 7 graphics scaling to fly Bowser directly at the screen. my brother would play this level specifically to terrify me lmao

the micro PC i have running my plex server is designed to run headless, so you can't actually see its desktop without remoting in. there's no real reason to have a desktop wallpaper, because there's no monitor to display it on. still, i like knowing this is there

I’m seeing a fair amount of pushback to this, so: note that Wolfers is not talking about doing this with professional Republicans: politicians, people who make a career out of doing MAGA commentary on X or Fox, etc. He’s talking about sitting down with someone you know and like with different views.

the hallway fight in netflix Daredevil season 1. it's shot as one long take, from one tight, claustrophobic angle. scripting fights to feel grounded and real was Steven DeKnight's oeuvre for this show, and this is the best example of it. it's not flashy- it's short, brutal, and exhausting

i think the girl draco malfoy trend is a psyop because taking a famously bigoted character from a famously bigoted story and sexualizing them when they're primarily known for being a *school aged child* is an act that upholds the two pillars of white supremacy: pedophilia, and fear of the other
