for real tho, "village goon in a Hammer Dracula movie" is pedestrian prose without context, but as a description of Liam Gallagher it's poetry.

Was disappointed to see this at first until I realized it was Noel. For some reason even though Noel was the guiding artistic voice in Oasis I feel no strong attachment for him. He has kind of a self serious blowhard vibe instead of Liam's "village goon in a Hammer Dracula movie" one

From Kent: "List every album you want to nominate. Yes, I do usually disqualify greatest hits, live albums, etc., but I only have to check qualification if an album makes it onto the list of 128 entrants. In other words, don’t disqualify anything; let me and the system do the disqualifying."

DDT also kind of incorporates Russian folk elements into its music the way that R.E.M. hints at Southern musical traditions. Anyway, please consider this this launch of my doomed campaign to get the band's 1988 album, "Я получил эту роль," into the next @bestalbumbrackets.bsky.social tournament.
