Advancements in technology meant the office Computer Room of the 1980s was no longer necessary. But at what cost?
Airflow Company advertisement from the 1980s showing a trio of abnormally attractive people in swimsuits working in an office Computer Room, flanked by giant reel-to-reel machines.
Debbie sits before a console with perfect posture. She wears the blue and white-striped 1-piece that Craig likes. The deep v-neck shows her ample cleavage, but Craig isn't looking.
Craig stands in the background talking to that bitch Stephanie, who wears a red one-piece. Her blonde hair cascades to her shoulders, shining in the florescent lights. She and Craig read a Dennis The Menace comic from a newspaper, but Craig keeps sneaking peeks down the front of Stephanie's swimsuit. Stephanie pretends she doesn't notice, but leans close to give him a better look.
Debbie grits her teeth in silent anger, only the sharp click-clacking of her keyboard keys reveal her boiling rage. How dare Stephanie make a move on Craig! She knew Debbie liked him. She always does this. First Mark, then Ken, and now Craig! She must be stopped. That bitch needs to pay!
Debbie releases a slow breath as she continues typing the Thelman Report. She appears calm. Passive. But deep in her mind she plots revenge.

I don’t trust the mainstream media, but I feel like the primary alternate model, getting the news from the posts of a 14 year-old Romanian schizophrenic shitposter named “G00n3R the Swamp Pervert,” is not necessarily a superior alternative.

The media overload is a huge part of why the biggest video game IPs and those aspiring to be one are (functionally) live service games. The best way to break even is finding a way to monopolize audience attention and disposable income beyond the "traditional" one year lifespan of a CoD

the issue is not what AI can do, but rather that there are a finite amount of people, ever shrinking attention spans, and already way too much media for even an immortal being to consume over centuries

Far in the future, far across the galaxy... It's was a tall order to cram a portion of space opera epic The Five Star Stories into a single 66 minute OVA (Sunrise, 1989). Urusei Yatsura's Kazuo Yamazaki gave it his best though, bringing to life from manga pages this world of mysticism and mecha.
A still from the bluray release, with a busy Phantasy Star IV-alike city scene with Ladioss Sop, a femme-y guy with long chestnut blonde hair resting casually resting on a floating bulbous bike with middle eastern-ey citizens around himA pristine blue sky and clouds, with beams of light cast down the Greek mythology inspired scene of extravagant white robed figures in a line and a young woman approaching them.A bulky mecha in closeup with pilots disembarkingOne of my favourite shots from the OVA, a tall techie tower structure in a barren desert wasteland, with a wooden sign pointing in all directions close to the camera. All beneath a burnt orange-yellow-blue cloudy sky.

Linehan quotes a post by Andy Ngo (@MrAndyNgo) that reads: "Damn. According to a witness of the shooting homicide of the trans New York Times executive in Dublin, Calif., the elderly Chinese grandparents calmly walked away after the exec was dropped to the ground".
Below the text are two police mugshot photos side by side: on the left is an elderly Asian woman with short, wavy gray hair wearing a white shirt, and on the right is an elderly Asian man with short dark hair, slight facial stubble, and a white shirt.

Trump rambles for AGES about the White House renovation (802 words total). The interviewer then changes topic, but Trump tries to bring it back to the White House. The Time reporter doesn't engage and moves on McConnell, and Trump just SNAPS: "You haven't asked me one fucking positive question."
You mentioned the Democrats will come after you if they win. Are you considering pardoning members of your administration prior to the end of your term?

Yeah, sure I’d do that.

Is that something you would consider doing?

Well, Sleepy Joe Biden, he gave pardons to everyone. [Holds up pictures of White House] They're actually—see, this is the way it looks now.

Have you seen the videos of Mitch McConnell back in the Senate? Do you think he should resign because of his health condition?

It was a disappointment to a lot of Republicans. So that's just—well, Sleepy Joe gave pardons to everybody. He gave them to Fauci. He gave them to this. But you mean I'm not allowed to give them, but Sleepy Joe's allowed to give them? This ain't gonna be much of a story. Here we are doing this. You haven't asked me one fucking positive question. All of this. What about this? What about that? What about that? What about this? All negative. Why are you devoting all this time to the White House? You know how I do, I do that out of my back pocket. I pay for a lot of it, but I fix it because the White House should look like that. It shouldn’t look like—if you would have stood in that balcony and looked at that wall, half the wall was falling. It's actually dangerous. People are walking under, crap was falling off it all the time. Every time it rained, it was leaking, horrible. Now it's perfect, and I would say that I should be given credit for fixing the White House because I'm also doing very well with the war. I'm doing very well with another war that we already won, Venezuela. Do you notice you haven't asked me a question about Venezuela?

A supremely condescending post made by author Joyce Carol Oates on the social media platform X, which reads: “This is why AI-generated romance novels make perfect sense.
