One of my co-authors has posted a nice animation showing propagation of the #Storegga #tsunami on the palaeobathymetry 8000 BP (left) and the present day North Sea (right). The tsunami loses its power as the sea becomes shallow and the wave diminishes towards the coast of DK/DE. lnkd.in/p/eJVXCyWB

I’m watching a 6 hour documentary about the politics of Chile in the early 70s. Learning all sorts of stuff. The oddest thing I’ve learnt is that amongst all the left-wing aspiration and right-wing murderous restraint in revolutionary & counter-revolutionary Chile, British Leyland built cars.

Worrying scenes in the Channel today, for all interested in asylum policy and maritime tactics. A small boat from Normandy spent more than 30 hours at sea. Those on board now on their 2nd rescue vessel as Border Force forced to play cat and mouse with far-right activists who have their own boat.
