On this day in 1992, The Tragically Hip released their third studio album Fully Completely. One of the greatest Canadian albums ever made, it sold 200,000 copies within three months. It reached #1 in Canada, eventually selling over one million copies for Diamond Status.
The image is the album cover for "Fully Completely" by The Tragically Hip. It features a vibrant, surreal artwork with multiple figures in dynamic poses, surrounded by musical instruments and abstract elements. The background includes a mix of red, purple, and green hues, with the band name "The Tragically Hip" at the top and the album title "Fully Completely" below it.

Dark thread. Since we watched Musk literally push a "protect the Boers" button in real time with Grok, we now know people or companies could theoretically pay their way into putting a thumb on the scale for Grok/Claude/ChatGPT. This is why the AI stans want you to believe it's thinking

Excellent réflexion via l’humour « The only alternative is an effort to counter disinformation, stop malign influence stirring up trouble and funding violence, to draw a line in the sand about what we consider unacceptable in a civilised society. But I think it may be too late for that. »

Sometimes the WAR ON WALKING results in no sidewalks at all. Sometimes they put “something” in — but does that really make things walkable for anyone except those without any other choices? The #WARonWALKING takes many forms, but it’s always about making things comfortable for vehicles, not people.
Image of a wide concrete overpass with a huge truck travelling dangerously close to a thin, uncomfortable looking concrete “sidewalk.” The text says “Don’t buy the lie that there’s a war on cars. They’ve been waging a war on walking for a century.” Tagline at the bottom says the Urban Truth Collective. #UrbanTruth #WarOnCars

#ResistanceRoots Joan Trumpauer Mulholland was born on this day in 1941 in Washington, D.C. One of the most courageous white allies of the Civil Rights Movement, she participated in more than 50 sit-ins and demonstrations at great risk. At 85, she continues to support modern civil rights causes. /1
Joan Traupauer Mulholland. Mulholland’s life embodies the power of moral courage, relentless allyship and quiet humility. She was a tireless activist who faced death threats and incarceration for standing up for civil rights. Her worldview is anchored in her deep Christian faith and her recognition of the glaring hypocrisy of a segregated society that claimed to share that faith. She believed that those with societal privilege have a moral obligation to risk it to stand in solidarity with the oppressed. Her enduring legacy is that of an “ordinary hero” who proved that physical stature and background do not limit one’s capacity to change history.
