What look like twin flames are known as Lynds 483 (L483), ejections from two actively forming stars at the center. The stars themselves are hidden in a teeny, opaque disk of dust that fits into one pixel. (1/4) 🔭 🧪 🧵

At the center is a thin vertical cloud known as Lynds 483 that is shaped like an hourglass with two lobes and irregular edges. At lower center, in the middle of the hourglass, are two discrete bright white, tiny blobs of light that have raced away from the hidden central stars. The top lobe shows a more prominent orange U-shape. Orange bleeds into light purple, and brighter pink at its edges. Some background stars are visible through sections of this lobe. Higher up, there is an orange arc. Some brighter pink material extends to the top edges near the center. In the lower lobe, less orange is visible. More opaque light purple is in its top third, rippling out into semi-transparent blues and pinks. The lower lobe has more texture. V-shaped areas to the left and right of the lobes are darkest, and the background stars in these areas appear orange. Elsewhere, the black background of space is clearer, speckled with tiny white stars and faint orange galaxies.

This is Theo. He is a beautiful pup with a unique coat, which helps distract from the fact that he is missing a sock. 13/10

a handsome dachshund in a light green harness stands outside on a cafe patio with little metal chairs in the background. the dog’s fur is a fascinating medley of colors: his back is dappled black and gray, his chest and belly are white, his legs are brown, and his face is an almost even split between black/brown and white. the white side of his face is showing more toward the camera. also two of his visible paws are white, but one is solid brown.

I respect Andrew WK alot as a musician because he figured out how to write a good song, had people go “hey that’s a good song”, then spent the next ten years doing the same song but changing the word Party to Fun, married a famous person, voiced someone in Fallout 4, and then was like boom that’s it

✨️Original artwork available at auction, ending Saturday 15th March, 19:00 GMT✨️ I can't separate these two mercreatures, so I'm offering them on one sheet; so you get both the beauty and the beast, if you will. 😄 Two Merheads Brown pencil on plain notebook paper, 125 × 164 mm.

Two drawings in brown pencil of two merfolk, with human/humanoid heads and fish tails/bodies. One has an 18th century lady's head complete with a towering coif elaborately dressed with a kerchief, beads, feathers, seashells and anemones. The other has a gaunt, haunting, mask-like face with wispy hair.
