A generic word describing a random group of people is NOT A SLUR, even if it is used disparagingly. A slur is BY DEFINITION aimed at an oppressed group. Clanker, techbro, boomer, zoomer, cis, karen, etc are NOT SLURS. Even if intended as an insult.

This thread is stern but accurate. If you can’t deliver on your up-front promises, at least update your clients. If you can’t do that, offering comms is not for you. Every artist that flakes on a comm after taking money makes clients that much more hesitant to commission ANY artist again.

It's not enough to be against AI, you need to be pro art. You need to be a champion of the art you love, you need to share that passion and joy, and do what you can to support the artists who make it, because it's not enough to hate AI, to hate what it's doing to art and media; you gotta love.

I was in a convo earlier and realized a lot of young folks don’t understand why the concept of ‘thought crimes’ is fascist. Fascism relies on two core things: surveillance and policing. If we promote the idea of thought crimes, it condones surveilling and policing people’s most private space.

A comic about CNC kink I've been thinking about for a few years, and I finally decided to sit down and make it.

Consensual Non-Consent In Real Life

A 3 panel comic

Panel 1: Kink Negotiation

Blushing Person: I was thinking maybe we could try out some CNC play...

Person #2: Yeah, we can totally try that out, sweetie! We should plan out what we're willing to do!

Panel 2: "The Scene"

Person #2: The sex pollen.... it's... taking over. I... I can't...Hnngg....

Blushing Person: Noo! Please, you have to snap out of it!

Panel 3: Aftercare
Blushing Person: Thanks so much, that was fun. Let's do it again sometime.

[end of comic]

"The Scene" is the fantasy within a CNC framework.

Some fictional works tell a story depicting two (or more) characters following the process of doing CNC kink, just as they would in real life: Consent discussion, Kink negotiation, “The Scene", and Aftercare.

[image of a blushing person reading the above comic]

Some fictional works focus on “The Scene only. A framing device is not required, as the fantasy is contained fully within the story. This lets the reader engage in the kink the same way as if they were engaging in “The Scene" portion of the CNC play.

[image of a blushing person reading only “The Scene” panel from the above comic]

CNC play, and both sorts of fiction are normal and healthy!

Thank you for the big artshare, Toby, and thank you to @fabrosaure.bsky.social and @kvacm.bsky.social for the tags! Congrats on 16k! I'm Justin, and I do digital and traditional art of all kinds of different subjects. I also post my sketches here regularly. Take a look!

Underspace Vacation - Two astronauts float above a deep dark chasm underwater. They reach out to each other in a beam of light, as the dark seafloor stretches out towards them.

"Her Master's Voice" - A happy cat stretches out in the sun on a colorful, patterned carpet. She is listening to a pair of headphones, whose wire coils around into the empty tooth socket of a white skull behind her.

Unicorn Nebula - A great whirling nebula of green and blueish gasses, with a giant dark cloud in the middle, resembling a horse skull with a horn. There are massive plumes and waves of space dust and gasses surrounding a brightly lit core of the nebula, which is glowing a pale yellow. In the green cloud above, another bright light shines from within, illuminating it. Whisps of turquoise gasses eminate from the cloudy structures' sides.

Hands-On Teaching - A point of view of someone sitting at a piano, with a toddler in their lap, playing together. The toddler's small hands are within and under the player's, and his small index fingers are pressing two of the white keys. Sun is casting a low shadow on the scene from the left. The child is wearing a blue shirt, and his face is peering up with a smile, from the bottom edge of the picture.

🌟Congratulations on 3K! 🌟 I'm H.M.Craig, and I'm a pattern designer for wallpaper and fabric. Here are a few 'moody' patterns, available right now on Spoonflower (with ID numbers). Cranes 22439902 Belrose 20741048 Thaniel Hedgewitch 18905146 Inglehedge 20340148 #artshare

A detail of a pattern featuring cranes in white and monotone browns against a richly colored burgundy background that has white feathers floating through it. The pattern is executed in a japanese birds and branches style with emphasis on gentle gradients and small precise brushwork for detail.

A pattern of intertwining rose vines, the background being a warm med-dark green, the roses being a creamy ivory, the leaves alternating between a lighter and darker green, the berries being little bits of an orangey-tan. The pattern itself is done in a Morris & Co arts and crafts woodblock print style.

A symmetrical pattern of birds among hawthorn branches (complete with flowers, berries, and leaves) in cream, browns, warm gray greens, and deep red. The background is charcoal, with little dots of dark brown. It has a lot of movement, emphasized by curling leaves, lifting branches, and birds with outstretched wings. The pattern is done in the arts and crafts woodblock print aesthetic of Morris & Co, making it seem much older than it is.

This pattern is like looking at a garden hedge at night. There are twisting brown woody vines with tooth-edged leaves in light to deep dark green, the background is very dark, but through it all there are little pale moths fluttering about which lend the pattern a bit of magic.

In an ancient forest, shallow pools reflect not the trees above, but a luminous city of elsewhere. My shortlisted entry for the Cheltenham Illustration awards. Inspired by the changing landscape, childhood (and adulthood) fantasy, reflections, exploration of strange places... #art #illustration

Illustration of a clearing in a dark forest with pools of water on the ground among the trees and vegetation. In the water is a reflection of a cityscape with skyscrapers in vibrant orange and yellow with a bright blue sky, contrasting with the murky blue-green colours of the woods. In the far distance an early sunrise can be made out through the trees.

You can learn more about the species at www.fowldyr.com
An illustration of a unicorn laying down on a lush hill covered in leafy plants and small white flowers. The unicorn’s pelt is half fluffy white fur and half golden scales. Her mane billows forward in the breeze, framing the rapier that is embedded in her head which functions as her horn. Beyond the hill, a ruined archway stands in a flooded meadow. A giant crescent moon shaped rock formation towers over the scene while a castle and two moons linger in the distance.

The moss-covered skeleton of an ancient unicorn stands motionless with a moth resting on it's skull. The creature appears to be able to see through the eyespots on the moths wings.

A snake-like deer with four wings and a unicorn horn inhabits the headless skeleton of a horse.
