Shouldn't the Democrats have something like an Elon Donations Tracker posted on all of their websites and social media? Make this SALIENT? Might it make sense to point out repeatedly that he is a white supremacist and ask the public why he would be backing the GOP?

I think every #pwME (from LC or before) has experienced the trauma and sheer surprise and shock of realising you are left to rot. But one thing I will never get my head around is how the indifference remains intact despite being an illness that chains children to a bed, in worst hell imaginable.

Why do people with ME claim to know more about the medical aspects of their disease than their doctors? Because the mechanisms that usually ensure doctors' knowledge fail in the case of ME, and sick people have created mechanisms of knowledge production and dissemination to pick up the slack.

PACE changed its recovery thresholds mid-trial so patients could enter too sick to qualify as "recovered" and leave "recovered" without improving. That's not just bad science — it's a rigged metric. The real question is who peer-reviewed it and said nothing.

1. “They don’t let their disability hold them back!” - an implication that many disabled people are actually just lazy/not trying and could do the thing if they’d only get in the right mind-state of “I can do anything if I try hard enough”. ‘Pushing through’ is also harmful to many disabilities.
