Every year I have to call MLB customer service to whitelist my IP so I’m not incorrectly blacked out from watching the Cubs. Started that call during the 6th inning today. Looking increasingly likely I won’t get off hold while the game is still being played.

I will reiterate my controversial take on this that Congressional pay is way too low, and the only way to combat this is to raise it by like 3-4x. I'm a successful lawyer with a varying income and in a typical month, I make more money than my congressperson. I could not afford two households.

It doesn’t require a REAL ID to vote. It requires the EAC to change the national voter reg form to require proof of citizenship. There’s no requirement for already registered voters to present documentation & there’s no requirement for voters not using the national form to present documentation.

My WI specific addition is that this EO requires the EAC to make changes to the national voter registration form to require proof of citizenship. However, thanks to a court order, no voter in Wisconsin can use the national voter registration form to register to vote.

Folks, while its absolutely true that Trump's cuts and changes to the FAA are bad and will exacerbate existing issues, regarding the recent 'spate' of crashes, this is largely just a case of the Baader–Meinhof phenomenon, nothing causal. www.cnn.com/2025/02/19/b...

But sometimes feelings can be deceiving. A look at the statistics suggests that the skies are about as friendly as they’ve ever been.

Take a look at January’s preliminary data from the National Transportation Safety Board.

It appears that last month there was a record low number of airplane accidents nationwide, when combining private and commercial airline flights. Most of the 62 total airplane accidents were on private flights, and that total number was 18 less than the 80 recorded in January 2024.

In fact, if the preliminary numbers hold, January 2025 will surpass the previous record for the lowest number of total accidents, with eight fewer than the prior record low of 70 from January 2012.
