Not having good faith partners in governance is a crisis. Not recognizing that you don’t have good faith partners, and proceeding as if you do, is an existential crisis. The electorate has grasped this already; Dem leaders must uniformly catch up.

I already own an ebike and can avoid owning a car. But lots of people drive gas cars daily out of necessity. Only the rich can problem-solve their ways out of everything driving up prices (climate disasters, oil prices, trade war). And it's astonishing to see Democrats do almost nothing in response.

I live pretty frugally already. I don't own a TV, take public transit, shop at Costco, don't drink alcohol, and make coffee at home. I'll use the library more. But lots of people have no more wiggle room. It's tiring to see everything get worse because of a war with Iran and tariffs no one wanted.

A real problem with concerns about oil prices spiking even more than they already have is that people cannot do anymore to mitigate increased costs. There's already been mass layoffs, SNAP cuts, plus higher energy and food prices. The unnecessary US-Canada trade war. People are exhausted.

Important: the USPS rule that SCOTUS blocked tonight was Trump’s big plan to control and restrict mail voting. But a separate policy remains in place: USPS is no longer postmarking mail as soon it gets it, which is hugely important for deadlines. So people must mail back with plenty of time.

In an Intense Election Year, New Post Office Rules Could Trip Up Voter Registration - Bolts
A change in how mail is postmarked could lead some voters to miss key deadlines, including voter registration. Advocates worry the people most affected will be those already facing voting barriers.
