That's unfair. It's also unsurpassed at allowing people to vibe code 'enterprise software' that's full of security holes and that no one will be able to maintain or develop at any point during its projected lifetime.

The average increase on code volume after the adoption of agentic AI studying 700 firms is 4,000 additional lines of code per programmer. The advantage of junior engineers writing code without the use of AI is senior engineers had to spend less time on code reviews.

Basically AI allows software engineers to produce shitty code *faster* and in higher volumes which increases the amount time spent on code reviews and revisions nullifying the productivity gained from producing the code in the first place.

Tragically, we see incidents where people survive major storms but are killed by carbon monoxide from portable generators. Never run your generator indoors. Run generators outdoors at least 20ft away from your home.

If you are in the path of Hurricane Isaias and will use a portable generator to keep the power on, make sure you have working carbon monoxide alarms. Portable generators can produce enough carbon monoxide to kill in minutes.

A suspension during an election can distort who gets heard, even before we know why it happened. Facebook should publish a clear reason and offer a rapid appeal; otherwise platforms quietly become election gatekeepers.

It needs to be stated over and over - this isn't just a matter of errors: The point is that LLM AI is literally incapable of reviewing or validating research data. It absolutely cannot do that job, at all, ever. But it is very good at generating something that looks like a convincing review.
First, I’d created 2000 free-text responses and labelled them ‘UK’. Then I copied and pasted the exact same 2000 responses but labelled these ‘US’. Finally, I combined them to create a dataset of 4000 total responses, and jumbled them up.

Despite the responses being identical for the UK and US, Copilot produced a rich, detailed summary of how US and UK respondents differed.
