Every year I do artwork and the website for an annual 4 day festival that my wife also works on. This year it’s in Dallas and all kicks off Thursday (she gets to go because she’s more important than I am). 13 months. 3.46GB. 648 files. …and now my focus shifts to next year…

I had to go to Waitrose today as we needed a specific ingredient. It’s the biggest supermarket within walking distance but we don’t use it often because of the price. I have to say, I might just up the food budget. They have EVERYTHING. A whole cheese counter AND a cheese section. Restrain me.

Everytime I watch American football I’m reminded of how much I loved it as a kid living in America and then remember it’s fucking stupid. All American sport is fucking stupid. I went to an ice hockey game in January and it was 2hrs of performance and 60mins of play. Stupid. No wonder they’re cooked.

To my absolute shame I’ve just bought a new Xbox to replace my absolutely-nothing-wrong-with-it Xbox because my current Xbox is incapable of playing GTA 6 and the only reason I bought that Xbox was to play GTA 5. If anyone wants to buy a perfectly good Xbox for a bargain let me know. I feel dirty.

My daughter got her GCSE results today and I don’t think I’ve ever been prouder. Genuinely amazing results and well beyond what we expected. I literally checking the piece of paper to make sure it was really hers. 33 years ago I scraped 5 passes. She got all As & Bs in old money. I could cry.

Massive shout out to @chatpileband.bsky.social for having the decency to play a gig 20mins bus ride from my house. The last few times in London were a pain in the hoop to get to. On top of that, they were fucking brilliant. Time well spent. Grimace, Dallas Beltway AND Rainbow Meat!! Cheers lads.

The only picture I took of the mighty CHAT PILE at Bush Hall in London. Lovely room, but shit venue. Nothing on tap. Iffy sound. But fuck me what a gig. Arguably the best I’ve seen them in spite of the other nonsense. Could have done without the excessively tall people and the dude near us who smelled like he hasn’t washed in weeks, but glad I left the house on a Monday for it.
