1. There is a kids' movie called "Where the Toys Come From" that has a scene where time moves in reverse to show a toy going from the toy store back to the factory where it was made. I don't know why this disturbed me so much, but it's one of my earliest memories. 2. Pasty-white dying ET. Yuck!!!

My current favorite YT genre is travel and slice-of-life content where there is no talking (captions are fine). They're nice to have on in the background. Small base camp is a good one if you want to start somewhere.

Here’s the most incredible story you’ll read today. A small plane with four people aboard crashes in a field. Another pilot witnesses it. That pilot happens to be flying a bunch of skydivers. They offer to jump to assist, are given permission. The skydivers happen to be EMTs. Everyone survives.

Thinking about how Newtype Magazine giving out free DVDs of anime lead me here. Getting an episode of Kino's Journey at Barnes & Nobel really changed my brain chemistry. Oh I knew what anime WAS (how could you not by the time DBZ & Pokemon Dropped), but the 2002-2007 anime boom was something else.

Seeing Sam Neill dig in the dirt of the badlands and speak so wonderfully about the miracles of pre-history in Jurassic Park was a call-to-action for many future paleontologists. That he worked so dedicatedly in activism and environmental efforts only affirmed that fascination. A true impact.
