she stood nailed to the floor
unable to move or speak
completely against her will
trying not to absorb
the vitriol flying at her
those words, those hateful things
cut deep down to the bone
and circulated through her like blood
no one defended her,
they all stood and watched
as if it was a television show
so she remained stuck to the floor
bandaged her own wounds
and she's still there today
