Incarcerated women report rampant sexual abuse by guards and the guards retaliate by spraying them with chemical agents and sending them to the hospital as a warning. Rape culture and brazen misogyny from the highest institution to the lowest.

Some of you have forgotten that only three years ago you were perfectly capable of writing an essay, writing a eulogy, telling a bedtime story to a child, and it should worry you that powerful companies have convinced us we can’t do things we’ve been doing for 5,000 years.

Really classy to end with Dr. Hayden, and with that quote specifically.
A lady came in, and as you know, in public libraries, there are a lot of people who are homeless, so they just need a place to be. She comes into the central library and goes up to the information desk.

She has very interesting attire, and this big bag. She asks to see the head of the library. I was the head of the library. The librarian — and this is what they do — tried to get more information from the person. They said, “Well, what would you like to see her for?” She opens the bag and she puts out on the table an injured bird.

And the librarian says, “Oh, what would you like her to do?” And the woman said, “Somebody’s got to care.”

The thing is, there are no good men in these situations unless we leave our standards in hell. Good men notice and shut that garbage down. Period. Good men know all this and use their privilege to interrupt, the same as I use my whiteness to interrupt casual racists.

Yes every woman has been harassed, many assaulted. But every woman has also experienced invisible loss from moments she avoided harassment. She felt a space becoming unsafe, so she left, while men stayed on. And in leaving, she lost: opportunities, experiences, learning, promotions, even simply fun.

Reuters got some of the IPO docs. Anthropic is a total dog of a company. Spent $12.6bn to make $4.6bn in revenue in 2025, $7.33bn of which was compute costs. Operating loss of $8bn. Losses getting worse year over year. Amazing stuff www.reuters.com/business/fin...
Summary
Companies
• Anthropic IPO could value the company at more than $2
trillion
• Anthropic lost $42 billion in 2025
• Al lab spent $7.33 billion on compute and infrastructure last year
• Operating loss widened to $8.06 billion in 2025 from $2.98 billion in 2024
• Execs, industry analysts have expressed concerns over harms of Al tech
Sept 28 (Reuters) - Anthropic is making a massive bet that Al will transform the global economy more profoundly than industrialization, electricity and the internet, according to its IPO prospectus seen by Reuters.
But the cost to get there will be staggering. Anthropic reported a net loss of $42 billion in 2025, and plans to spend $518 billion on cloud, computing and infrastructure obligations in coming year, according to the
prospectus.

Seeing people post about how unfair the “mob justice” against the Cornell rapists is doesn’t really move me when there is no justice for survivors. The system doesn’t work; it enacts further punishment on the victims. Society is even crueler. So spare me the “mob justice” rhetoric about the accused

A truly heinous man has doxxed the Cornell victim on X and the comments are predictably vile. Based on countless interviews I’ve done with survivors, the trauma they are subjected to for coming forward is oftentimes even worse than the initial trauma they experienced. There is no real justice system

What are you doing in everyday situations to make it real uncomfortable for other men to say misogynist stuff? what have you done to learn what everyday misogyny actually looks like? because if you say you don’t encounter it, you’re either lying or have chosen not to learn to see it

95% of college-age men admitted to using coercive tactics to get women they already knew did not want any to have sex with them to have sex. When men say they don’t know who these creeps are, all it tells me is that either they’re lying or they’ve chosen not to learn about rape culture.

The only thing I will add is: fraternity culture as it exists on American university campuses is likely irredeemable. The concept of brotherhood as a sacred bond has been exploited by the very worst.

Thank racists for your ridiculous tuition bills. You could pay for a year of college with a summer job until the Civil Rights Act integrated schools. Suddenly, white people in power started cutting public funding for higher ed. It was a public good until that public included Black folks.
