Always good to remember that when discussing a controversial topic, “it’s not complicated” is a terrible way to start an argument. It is complicated, otherwise there would be no controversy. The complexity is not always obvious or on the surface, but it’s always there.

100%. For those unfamiliar, Van Halen had a line in their rider that essentially said “no brown M&Ms.” It was a way to see if the promoter had actually read the contract. They had a shitload of gear to tour with, so if they’re skipping one thing, it’s guaranteed they’re skipping something essential.

Yesterday, while out and about, a family with a baby (about 10mos?) took it upon themselves to take a picture of their baby next to my ginger 4-year-old. They had no English. She was wearing a hijab, and they looked like they could be from anywhere east of Rome and west of Karachi. Any ideas WTF?

The proliferation of UB sets has not made me enjoy Magic any less. In fact, design-wise, many of the UB cards are fun to play.
