Voting (as it is in the US) is an embarrassment; it's humiliating. I fully understand and agree with the arguments against voting. But under the current circumstances not voting is deeply irresponsible. The purist anarchist arguments don't apply with the kinds of threats the world is facing.

It took me eight or nine months to realize my ex had raped me. It was an incredibly painful and slow process of remembering, recontextualizing, and talking it out in therapy. It took even longer to say the word “rape” publicly, and I still often don’t. It is NORMAL for survivors to need time.
