We are SO back! 🍎 Tuesday Teaching Tip: Use wise feedback: Communicate the high standard, explain where the work needs improvement, and affirm that the student can meet that standard. Add specific next steps and an opportunity to revise so feedback becomes a pathway forward.

Over the last month I saw that human editors are now stripped of control. I could no longer stop the system from auto-inviting "reviewers" with zero relevant expertise. Even worse - the AI began actively revoking the invitations I manually sent out to actual, qualified experts.

The attack on education in the US is not new, but the slow fuse that arguably started with Reagan is now setting off detonations across K-12 and higher education that are going to be incredibly difficult to walk back if we don’t treat this like the urgent crisis it is.
